WHO IS ANDERS?
Anders Andresen is a magician and comedian. He blends magic and stand-up into one show where the audience becomes part of the experience, and he performs at company parties, Christmas parties, weddings and other celebrations all over Denmark.
He has been on stage since 2011, has created a long list of his own shows and has 4.8 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot.
HOW IT STARTED
Anders was 12 or 13 when someone showed him and taught him a card trick, and from then on he was hooked. He borrowed magic books from the library, practised for hours until his fingers were sore for days, and ran excitedly into the living room to show his mum and little brother yet another trick they simply had to see. They have seen more card tricks than any family should.
At the magic shop Pegani in Horsens, close to his grandparents, he picked up new props and new ideas. In upper secondary school he did magic for anyone and everyone, during breaks, at parties and often during class too. In a way, it makes up a little for never getting into Hogwarts.
Stand-up came into the picture through his best friend, who did stand-up himself in upper secondary school. They spent much of their free time going to open mics and watching comedians develop their material. When Anders got his first Christmas party gig right after school, he discovered that holding a whole room takes something different from entertaining a small group in the schoolyard. So at the end of 2011 he went to an open mic himself, and ever since, magic and comedy have been one and the same for him.
Today it is his full-time job. He performs at company parties, Christmas parties, weddings and confirmations all over the country, and he still regularly takes the stage at Copenhagen comedy clubs to test new material.
Highlights over the years
These are the shows and moments that have shaped Anders as a magician and comedian.
2011
First time at an open mic
Anders takes his magic onto an open mic stage in Copenhagen and starts mixing tricks with stand-up. This is where his style is born.
2015
Sandheden om magi
One-man show no. 1
Anders’ first one-man show and his first full hour on stage. It was a fun creative challenge to build a show with a common thread all the way through. The idea was that Anders gave the audience a look at the truth about magic and showed them how the tricks are done. But every time there was a twist at the end, so the audience still went home without an explanation.
The show premiered at Kulturhuset Islandsbrygge in September 2015 and then travelled to Odense, Svendborg, Hvidovre and Herning.
2016
Medicin & Magi
Duo show with Andreas Hoff
In the tribal societies of the past, the magician and the medicine man were one and the same person. Today science has long since dismissed placebo, laying on of hands and reflexology as empty concepts. Or has it? With humour at the centre, Anders and psychiatrist Andreas Hoff explored whether one rules out the other, in a show with stand-up, magic and random facts.
The show premiered at Zulu Comedy Festival in 2015 and in 2016 travelled to Copenhagen, Aarhus, Viborg, Randers and Odense.
2017
Sukkersygt
One-man show no. 2
”The sweetest magic show you have ever seen (note: may contain traces of comedy).” The show was built on a rule: Anders could only do magic with things that contained sugar. So there were tricks with soda, sweets, Oreos and other treats, and the audience was taken on a rollercoaster ride through the sugar rush with sleight of hand, mysteries and confetti. A magic show mixed with comedy and loads of sweets, what’s not to like?
The show premiered at Zulu Comedy Festival at Huset-KBH in September 2017 and was later performed at Teatret Svalegangen in Aarhus, among other places.
2020
Perfekt?
One-man show no. 3
A different kind of magic show where the audience plays the lead. With their input, Anders tries to build the perfect magic show, live in front of them. The show was recorded at Comedy Zoo and can be watched in full on YouTube.
2023
12th anniversary show
Anniversary show
At the end of 2023 Anders celebrated 12 years on the comedy stage with a one-night show at Knock Knock Comedy Club. He took the audience down memory lane with material from some of his earlier shows, with time for funny anecdotes and stories from his career so far.
2024
Hjernegymnastik
One-man show no. 4
A funny, magical and informative comedy show in which Anders set out to make an entire show about the Rubik’s Cube. That turned out to be a challenge, so the show grew into everything to do with brain training: magic with numbers, mental arithmetic and other brain-twisting topics, with the Rubik’s Cube in the lead role. The show was performed at Teater Play.
2025
Christmas show at Comedy Zoo
Christmas show
Together with two other comedians, Anders performed 24 Christmas shows over six weekends in November and December at Comedy Zoo. His full set from the Christmas show is on YouTube.

2025
Illusions in Horsens
Illusions is an international magic festival in Horsens, where magicians from several countries perform over a week during the autumn half-term. Anders joined the programme for the first time in 2025 and was back again in 2026.
For Anders it is something special to be on stage in Horsens, the town where it all began with a visit to the magic shop Pegani.
2026
FOKUS
One-man show no. 5 · Tour
Where his earlier shows had usually only been performed a few times, this time Anders wanted to see how the material landed around the country. FOKUS is a comedy special without one fixed theme, with room for dialogue and spontaneous moments with the audience. The tour ended with 500 tickets sold across 10 cities, from Bornholm to Randers.
2026
Magic & Comedy
Show in English
A challenge Anders set himself. In early 2026 he began performing more in English and going to the English-language open mics in Copenhagen. The goal was to get even better at corporate gigs in English, broaden his horizons and perhaps perform more abroad.
Magic & Comedy brought together his best material over the years, now in English, and a large part of the show was filmed. The show was performed at Knock Knock Comedy Club in May 2026.
2026
MIRAKLER
Latest show
An hour where magic and stand-up merge into inexplicable, strange and genuinely funny moments. Anders performed MIRAKLER six times at UP Comedy Festival in October 2026, and the show can be booked for corporate events, boarding schools and schools, in Danish and English. During 2027 and 2028 the show will be staged around the country.
2028
Edinburgh Fringe
Next chapter
The plan is to develop MIRAKLER further, translate the show into English and take it to Edinburgh Fringe, the world’s largest performing arts festival, in 2028. Before that, Anders will also stage the show around the country.
Magic and stand-up, written together from the start
Anders doesn’t do magic with jokes layered on top, nor stand-up with a few tricks in between. The magic delivers the surprise, the comedy delivers the laughs, and the audience is involved from the first minute.
The audience is part of the show. No two nights are the same, because guests are brought into the tricks. That is often where the biggest laughs happen.
Tuned to your crowd. Before a company party, Anders asks how well people know each other, what kind of humour there is in the company and who will be attending. That way the show fits the culture before he even walks into the room.
Tested on the club stages. New material is tried out and polished at open mics and club nights in Copenhagen before it comes out to you.
